I am totally opposed to hate crime legislation; but since we already have this stuff; where is the outrage?
LDS Church windows are being bashed in; copies of the Book of Mormon are being burned; and the Temples are being protested. Is there no outrage because it is the LDS church?
What if a mosque was being attacked? The way i see it; the homosexuals can demonstrate hate at anytime; but heaven forbid if hate is demonstrated towards them.

Property damage is a hate crime. Protesting? Not even close.
I hereby appoint you to be my surrogate. You can be outraged on my behalf. Meanwhile, I'll be outraged at churches who go around trying to steal people's constitutional rights.
Just as in any group (even our LDS faith, you must admit) there are those who become over zealous in their belief and abandon rational behavior. I've yet to hear any member of the gay rights movement endorse such activity, and that is important to remember (your post did not point that out).
It is also more intellectually honest to remember that a broken window does not equal denying another human being the same rights you enjoy and then justifying it with the words of Christ.
I don't condone vandalism, however, I'd like to point out that "the homosexuals" are not behind it.
People are behind these acts, and unless they've been caught and specified their sexual preference, you have no way of knowing if your assumption is accurate.
I have been writing some blog posts about the same thing. You would find them interesting given that I share your sentiments about what is going on.

And where in the constitution does it give a right for a non-reproductable, homosexual people the right to marry?
